Suwon Museum of Art Participatory Educational Exhibition

Green Green Museum: Sensory Notes

August 11 – December 4, 2026

✅ A participatory educational exhibition that invites visitors to discover the interconnectedness and cycles of nature and imagine the value of coexistence.

✅ Featuring 13 works—including installations by artist Yang Ji-yoon and paintings by Lim Hyun-kyung—presented through a multisensory experience.

✅ A richer artistic experience enhanced by scent design by Lee Hye-young, a phytotherapy and olfactory artist.

Suwon Museum of Art in Gyeonggi Province presents Green Green Museum: Sensory Notes, a participatory educational exhibition that invites visitors to reflect on our relationship with nature and experience ecological values. The exhibition runs from August 11 (Tuesday) to December 4 (Friday), 2026, at Suwon Museum of Art Manseok Exhibition Hall.

Green Green Museum is a participatory educational exhibition that explores our relationship with nature through the dual meaning of “Green”—both the color of nature and the act of “drawing.” The exhibition encourages visitors to engage with nature through an attentive, face-to-face encounter. Green Green Museum: Sensory Notes is the second part of the series, following Green Green Museum: Mysterious Garden of Stardust, which opened in March.

Featuring artists Yang Ji-yoon and Lim Hyun-kyung, Green Green Museum: Sensory Notes presents a total of 13 paintings and installation works. Rather than treating nature simply as something to be observed, the exhibition invites visitors to perceive nature as a living presence with which we share our world, and to discover anew our relationship with nature through art.

Moving beyond a primarily visual experience, the exhibition incorporates sound inspired by the atmosphere of nature and scent specially created in response to the characteristics of the exhibition space, extending the experience to the senses of hearing and smell. The scent design was created with the participation and support of Lee Hye-young, an olfactory artist, further enhancing the immersive quality of the exhibition.

Admission to both the exhibition and its participatory programs is free. Exhibition tours are also available to help visitors engage more deeply with the works. From Tuesday to Friday at 10:30 a.m., guided tours for children's institutional groups are offered by advance reservation. From Tuesday to Saturday at 4 p.m., regular guided tours are available for visitors of all ages. In the ongoing education space, visitors can participate in Sensory Notes for Everyone, an activity that encourages them to record their sensory experiences while viewing the exhibition. Educational programs connected to the participating artists’ practices will also be offered.

Detailed information about the exhibition and related educational programs, including how to participate, is available on the official website of Suwon Museum of Art.

Oh Min-beom, Director of Suwon Museum of Art, said, “I hope this exhibition will offer visitors an opportunity to experience nature through their senses, discover anew the connections among living things, and imagine ways for humans and nature to live together.”
